A list of essential  items every traveler should pack

If there is one thing I can’t stand about traveling is packing. I have to tell you, before Jacopo’s birth I used to be the world’s worst packer!

But, whether you are good or bad at packing suitcases, whether this is your first trip or you’re a seasoned globetrotter, it’s always helpful to have a rundown of what items you may want to pack.

  1. Flight tickets, passport and driver’s licence

First of all, tickets, because without those items you won’t go anywhere.

  1. First AID

Minimally, your kit should include ibuprofen/pain relievers, band aids, antibiotics.

Also consider heartburn meds, sunburn cream, hand sanitizer, bug repellent, antihistamines, and decongestants based on your medical history, your destination, and the length of your trip.

In my opinion those are very useful items.

  1. Technology

In addiction you have to bring  all tecnology items you use.

Mobile device and charger; Laptop, e-reader and charger; camera and GoPro/video camera, memory card and charger, and don’t forget  electrical converters and adapters.

  1. Long-sleeve shirt

Have you ever gotten goosebumps during the summer because a place has the air conditioning on full blast? If your answer is yep, you will understand why I pack a long-sleeve shirt just in case.

  1. Rain jacket, windbreaker or umbrella

Don’t get caught in the rain. Even if the forecast looks nice, you never know when there may be a sudden shower or thunderstorm.

  1. Saragon or large scarf

I never travel without a large scarf, in my opinion, the most useful item in my suitcase.

In fact, I  use it as scarf, a shawl, a blanket, or a picnic mat.

  1. Plastic bags

I know, they aren’t cool and glamorous travel items but they sure come in handy.

You should us them for dirty shoes, underwear, or wet clothing especially if you didn’t brings  items in point # 5.

  1. Comfy shoes

When you travel you have to be comfy above all else.

I usually wear my tennis shoes (sometimes my running one) on the plane or train to save  space in my suitcase.

Tennis shoes are also excellent as rain shoes

  1. Extra cash

Usually I never carry cash only when I travel! it’s extremely comforting knowing you  will never be totally stranded with no money.

  1. A big smile

The absolute most important thing to take with you when you travel is the smile.

In conclusion, face the journey smiling with your face and heart, you will not regret it.
